Several years ago, I designed a comprehensive sound system which would be the major furniture for one room devoted to entertaining. It's called 'Pillaster'. The Pillaster is a pyramidal sound and video unit with everything built in. It would take every known format of data including vinyls, 8 tracks, standard cassette, DAT, DVD, CD-rom, VHS, beta, laserdisc, microcassette, and possibly others, (which I haven't thought of yet). There would be a single insert for all the formats, which the Pillaster takes your data through and detects the format, and proceeds to automatically play and display the contents. Pillaster is equipped with on board projector, lighting, laser effects, strobes, and also on all four sides, all ranges of audio outputs with bass woofers at bottom and tweeters on top. It is augmented with a meta-touch-screen display for controls and display of ram and rom media. It is made from ebony, brass and carbon fibre glass. This system is truly the design of a millennium, and the only furniture you need! Z |
