There seems something wrong with spending 300 million dollars to make the movie Spiderman when so many people are struggling to make ends meet, but that is the nature of a consumer-oriented society. However, there are people like George Clooney who has a social conscience, yet is still a big star. Also, the Sundance and Tribeca film festivals make room for the Indie productions. So there is room for everyone, it's just that the big studios have the promotion dollars. Best of luck in your career!
